Simon: “That was miles and miles better then we’ve been hearing from you in the last few weeks”

Here’s what the judges had to say about Andrew’s performance tonight on Stones night
Randy: “Yo Dawg, you know I love you right? Dude, i’m telling you, I love the song, i love the stones, i love you but it was pitchy everywhere, it wasn’t great dude”
Ellen: “What do I know, I think it was your best performance yet! I loved it!”
Kara: “Heard elements of the tone we love in your voice” “the connection bothered me the most during that performance but I still love you”
Simon: “To be honest with you, i’m somewhere in the middle here. My gut feeling is you were better in rehersals then tonight”

Andrew Garcia sings Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle”
Playing his guitar Andrew Garcia took the stage tonight with his own version of Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle”
The judges had these comments:
Randy– Thought it was a very interesting song choice but the version didn’t quiet work for him
Ellen– Thought it was a great song choice and felt the end of the song was the best part, the genie came out of the bottle to late, however she still thinks people will love it!
Kara realizes that it’s a tough position for him because he ‘peaked’ early and now he’s chasing that performance (Straight Up) but this song just wasn’t right.
Simon- Agreed with Kara and felt it was a little bit of a desperate performance.

Andrew sings James Morrison’s “You give me something”
Wanting to make sure and impress the judges tonight Andrew Garcia sang “You Give Me Something” By James Morrison.
Randy didn’t think it was the right song and felt it was pitchy all over the place. He feels Andrew is way better then that perfromance and wants to see him with the guitar again.
Ellen joined in the audience with booing Randy and said that even though there were a few pitch problems she really enjoyed the performance and even said she’s such a fan she’s thinking of getting his name tatooed on her neck! (Just kidding)
Kara once again said that main problem is that he built it up so high with his Paula Abdul performance and we’re always going to expect a lot out of him.
Simon said he’s just frustrated again. He feels that for the second week in a row he has had bad song chioce and that is a big problem. He said the performance was simply ‘ok’ and Andrew is better then just ‘ok’
